More Bostie Boys Animation

Bostie Boys - scene 29A from Eddie Mort on Vimeo.

Everything here was done in Animate, and is a good example how the blur filters and camera can really lift a scene. The mast and rope in the foreground give a sense of depth courtesy of the multiplane camera; just a slight truck in really helps. The bathtub animation is a re-use from a previous post; I created a template of the animation in a previous scene, then assigned all the layers to a PEG so I could motion tween.

  1. Couldn't you get a better result, if the scene was done in photoshop?

  2. The point of this blog is to showcase and share our work using ToonBoom Animate. I'm sure you could reproduce this drawing in Photoshop but Photoshop is not an animation program.

  3. As Lili said, let's keep this relevant...we're talking about an all-in-one ANIMATION program that serves your ANIMATION needs. As anyone who has done any serious production work knows, importing Photoshop files - especially for HD resolution - makes your animation files bigger and harder to manage. This is about using ANIMATE and the effects we can get from it.

Same with all the people who ask me "couldn't you do this in After Effects?"...we use ANIMATE, not After Effects!!!
